Hi,

We live in northern Vermont. My husband and I just purchased a new Kubota and financed it through a local bank. They are looking for full insurance coverage. Can anyone provide any advice purchasing insurance for the tractor?

Thanks!

Lynne

Lynne,

You can most likely add the tractor to you Homeowner's policy. If not, you might try someone like Farm Buraeu or maybe someone that insures 4wheelers and such. Alot of these tractor companies will offer insurance for a real good rate but only if you finance through them.

My tractor and implements are on a special rider to my homeowner's policy. It is the least expensive alternative I found. I don't think I'd exactly call it full coverage but your bank manager might.

I think I have coverage to the tractor for trips on the highway between our properties but many policies don't. Accident and liability coverage is more limited to what I think of as full coverage. Any commercial work isn't covered.

With both of my tractors (Deere Credit and Kubota Credit) a letter from my agent stating that the tractors were included under my normal homeowners coverage sufficed. State Farm has not charged me extra money to cover the tractors. ....

WHEN I BOUGHT MY JD790,LIKE OTHER POSTS I HAD TO SUBMIT A COPY OF THE ADDITIONAL RIDER ON MY HOMEOWNERS INSURENCE ,IT WAS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GO. IT COVERS THE TRACTOR,7 SERIES HOE, FINISHING MOWER AND BOX SCRAPER:HOWEVER THIS FOR ONLY FOR MY PROPERTY AT $85 A YEAR.
IF I TRAILERED THIS TRACTOR IT WOULD BE COMMERCIAL AND I THINK THE QUOTE WAS $700 FOR LIABILITY ON A MILLION DOLLAR POLICY. ....
